A Spirit-filled Evening
It was evident as people were arriving that the camaraderie in the home was blossoming, even though few of us knew each other very well. Some had been together in this church choir for at least two decades; others, for less than two months. Still, the "new" people felt as much a part of the group as the veterans. As we gathered to pray and then share the pot-luck meal, we were all overcome by the sensation that what we were feeling was the presence of the Holy Spirit among us, as each heart was filled with the love only God could provide. It was an experience still talked about among us today.
The Country I Would Choose To Live In
Despite my under-travelled condition and lack of experience or first-hand knowledge of other countries, I still choose the good ol' United States of America. While others may be better off economically, or have some freedoms we do not, or have year-round climates where only the very rich can afford to own homes, the U.S. has such a diverse culture and expansively fascinating landscape, combined with freedoms so many others simply do not have, that I find it difficult to fathom why anyone would forfeit their citizenship here to live elsewhere permanently. To love other lands or to be captivated by the beauty of other cultures and peoples is certainly understandable. To read and sing the eight passionate verses of "America the Beautiful" with any degree of identity and still want to leave here is to me a complete mystery.
The Wonders of Holiday Music
As someone who is driven by music, I don't find it strange that what really gets me excited during the holidays is when the radio starts playing all the great Christmas songs. Now, I'm not talking about Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer or any song that Bing Crosby ever did, I'm talking about the songs that are far more modern. Give me Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime" or Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You" and I'm down for a rocking Christmas time. It just doesn't feel like a holiday without a melody of catchy, 80s Christmas songs to get me in the mood.
Determining the Best Design for your Living Room
A family or a group of friends get together in a living room. This is only one of the reasons why you have to make an effort to create a comfortable as well as a stylish living room for your home. Of course, most of your efforts will be focused on selecting the best color scheme and the right furniture. Deciding on the design is another thing that you have to do. Do you want to have a modern living room or would you opt to have a classic design?
Money may be an issue to a lot of households. This may be a factor that will hold on back from creating a stylish living room. In order to remedy this, you may need to make an effort to get your furniture items and other products from source shops or similar places. This allows you to purchase them at the lowest possible prices.
Which Dining Table Should you Buy?
A single piece of furniture can mean a lot to a home’s design. If you want to make sure that your dining area is appealing and will encourage family members and friends to gather round, you need to select the best dining table. Let us first take a look at what you need.
Assess your dining area and determine its size. If you have found a dining table that suits your taste, all your efforts may be in vain if the furniture is too big or too small for your dining room. Dining tables may be made from wood, steel, glass, etc. The material that the table is made from will dictate the durability and price of the product so it is important for you to choose wisely.
